About the project

“EU Youth Caravan” is a project that connects young people from all eight planning regions of North Macedonia, creating space for learning, dialogue, creativity and active youth participation in the processes linked to European integration.

Through eight regional youth forums, 160 young people had the chance to explore European values, discuss the challenges and opportunities that European integration brings, and share their views on the future of their communities. Through interactive workshops, debates, simulations and creative work, they created original products and shared youth messages that represent their ideas, expectations and visions for Europe.

The videos, podcasts, posters, infographics and other creative works they made are presented in the Virtual Youth Gallery, a space where the voices of young people from all eight regions gain visibility and remain available to the wider public.

The project is implemented by ICI Gostivar in partnership with the Organization of Women of Strumica and Analytica – Skopje, with financial support from Sweden through UNOPS.

To deliver the “EU Youth Caravan”, a shared Methodology with a Toolkit was developed, providing a single, interactive and inclusive approach to running the youth forums in all eight planning regions.

On 19 June 2026, a national training was held in Prilep with 12 participants, including eight regional coordinators, an expert and representatives of the partner organisations. Through hands-on work, participants built their skills in facilitation, mentoring and organising youth activities, preparing to run the regional forums.

The methodology is also a practical resource for future youth initiatives, educational activities and organisations working with young people.
